Worked as the trainer for a particular camp for the past 4 days with lots of experience and lessons learned. As this is a leadership camp for the participants, trainers have to feed them with info about leadership. Quite an easy job for me as its almost the same as what im doing in npcc.

Personally for myself, i've gained alot from the participants. This experience exposed me to more leadership styles that i had never came across before as i've always been leading kids from npcc, but not 17/18/19 yr old students. Not only must we trainers be able to hype up the team, but also to get them bonded ASAP. Its tough job at one point of time when few of the students are not willing to fully participate in the camp. And at times you wondered why cant they even take care of simple things. Feeling the frustration coming, yet i cant do anything to them. Thats when i discovered more about anger management. HAHAHA!!!

Everyone needs a special someone to talk to in times of need, especially leaders. My co-trainer made me realise this when he was de-briefing the team. You need not know who is the US president, you need not know who is the Miss Universe, You need not know who won singapore F1 grand prix. BUT, you mus know when you failed an objective, who is the one that got you back on track. When you are down, who is the first that came to pull you up. And when its the last night tonight, who would come to your mind. That special person keeps the leader going, never to give up, never to go down. I am very thankful to have a few of them, but one special one who i can really say/share/rant anything, and i mean ANYTHING to.

Every camp will be a brand new journey to me, a brand new experience for me. And these are perfect memories in life....

Im gonna dedicate this post to all banglahs aka Foreign Talents in singapore.

1st, I really salute them for all the hardwork they put in to make singapore such a better place. buildings, MRT stations, painting of HDB blocks. etc etc

2nd, They are really nice ppl! On this occasion on the train, I was sitting at the priority seat, 1 banglah beside me. When the train reached one of the stations, 1 old lady came in. While I was slotting my things into my bag getting ready to offer my seat, the banglah beside immediately sprung up and allowed his seat to the old lady. Macchiam want have competition with me. impressed!!

3rd, Sometimes I do feel pity for them. Last year while still learning to drive, there's this banglah taking TP test. And for the parallel parking, he actually hit the front 2 poles down. I laughed a bit initially, but when he looked as if he's going to cry, my throat constricted, and I was engulfed with this stifling emotion that was bringing me close to tears. Cos I understand it costs a lot for them to learn driving. His boss might scold the hell out of him too.

And on tue, I was on my way to the station after revision in sch. Happened to pass by this study corner with a grp of banglahs, all with laptops. *first thing that came to my mind, "Wa, rich sia..."* until I saw one without. And he's lik sian sian sit there with the revision papers.

There's always another experience during ITP. Almost all the banglahs had only plain white rice plus curry for lunch! omg!! Felt lik giving them my pathetic piece of luncheon meat. but there's so many of them. AND SO.......................I eat myself.

Although there are times when Im prejudiced against them, eg honk them when they're blocking my way, whether they're driving or walking cross the road. But most of the time, play play only lah.. hahaha'

Well, all in all, BANGLAHS FTW!!! not AT. =D

another great weekend!!

sat, NPCC training till 1630. DROVE down to taekwondo training at YCK. after that went seletar reservoir to slack.

sun, Ubin with sports team peeps! met ying min!! she was goin back mainland after the camp. bowling at kovan super bowl. kopi session at ave 8.

well, will be the last time i'll be enjoying myself till exams are over. disciplined time table coming up again..

Had a great weekend!
Friday, went school to learn some things from lab TSO Patrick. Taekwondo trainin at night.
Sat, NPCC training at HS. Dinner wif tkd buddies at J8, training at YCK.
Sun, Pasir Ris -> Punggol Jetty -> Round Ubin -> Pasir Ris = 25.1km

After yesterday's kayaking exped, i understood the meaning of, "so near yet so far". Target point can be seen, but after paddling for 1hour non-stop, its still so far. And when getting near the target point, slacken down, and realised that its getting further becus of the drift. And i learnt that in life, we should never be complacent of anything. Just becus it seemed that you ARE getting it, does not mean you WILL get it.

watery eyes, runny nose, sunburned face & neck. sneezing non-stop, and im really feeling awful & very uncomfortable. missing school 2day.

Just added another chapter to my diary of life....

no matter how great a trouble you get into, remember, its just a learning point.
1) Ask yourself why are you in such a situation.
2) How are you going to deal with it.
3) How you move on with it.

Everyone lived only once. Would you want it to be as calm as the water in a pond, or do you want it to be lik a roller coaster ride?? =)

its really quite another expensive lesson learnt this time.

Its so nice being alone in your own room to rot. 2nite is especially quiet w/o neighbour's children crying, ppl from opposite block arguing, slamming of doors. And the weather is cool 2nite.

Tot abt wat im goin to do for the next half of the year. Will be getting back to taekwondo trainin soon. first reason is, my dad kept asking me to get back to trainin. 2nd reason, i really felt welcomed by niki ma'am herself & all other team-mates after the chalet. Third reason is, why giv up on something that you loved so much? For which, i still dunno the actual reason why i stopped training 2 years back.

And i'll be less engaged in HS NPCC. More juniors are back being instructors, its time they take charge & learn. Its not that I wont be around, but just allowing them to hav more space. 6 more months left instead of a year, i guess. Will discuss with all instructors again.

HS NPCC, UATC 2009 was great.

Campers had fun i believe
NCOs had fun i hope so
CIs definitely had our fun! hahaha!

one thing for sure is, i've seen Ferruginous II grown in this camp. And their efforts put in during planning, during camp have definitely paid off. Hope that they have learnt a lot. Few ppl i want to mention:

1)the 3 organisers - RouWen, Eunice, Kelvin
Hope that this experience allowed you to learn more. And thanks for getting the last minute instructions from the CIs done perfectly.

I've really seen you grown. Sometimes, you just need to go ahead and do what you think its right, dun worry to make mistakes, so long you learn from it.

Thanks for all the funny faces & expressions. And thanks for the commitment despite your "disability".

I know that you always wanted things to be done perfectly. But remember, being a leader is not only abt leading but also grooming others to be a good leader.

The person that impressed me the most. From what i remembered, you are someone who doesn't want to get bothered with. But you changed that impression during planning and the camp. And tying the structure under the hot sun is the last thing i tot i would see from you.

Frankly speaking, im not very happy recently. Its not abt the issue anymore, NOT ANYMORE! =D

so what if "Yesterday ended last night." ? im still not making full use of TODAY. I MUST learn to prioritise & have my own vision. wahaha' There's things that we definitely need to sacrifice in order to move on.

Most of us are living the life like an acrobat does in show. Imagine we are to have 10 plates up, spinning on the rod. By the time we are at the 6th or 7th, we may have to go back to the 1st or 2nd plate to spin it again. And so, instead of moving on, we are goin BACK. Whats the point of doing so? Wasting time probably.

Restrictions is also another factor, not the parental restrictions. But sometimes, there's jus things in the way, stopping you from doin the things you wanted to. It sucks. Not obstacles, jus issues that you cant get rid of.

CHANCE/LUCK/FATE??

School has been the same. Lectures that you dun understand what the hell the lecturer is trying to teach. The same old routine everyday, every week. But GEMs class today is fun. i've made a fool of myself i guess. pronoucing the word, 'searched'

last day of 2009 HRC today. both good & bad/funny. things happened, partly our fault. alright, not the time to find out who's at fault, but to make things better the next time..

last HRC, and i got to enjoy flying fox. i really enjoyed. confidence fall, flying fox version. =D
got myself ready, back facing the runway, and off i jump!! for that 0.5 sec, i couldnt feel that im being secured as i see the tower getting further away.. LOL! it was great.. really great...

im so gonna miss the "playground", the new friends i've made, cadets/trainers/instructors/FIs. the jokes trainers/instructors shared.. haha' really bullshit sometimes.

well, was surprised by her msg asking to go supper sooooooo suddenly while im enjoying my coffee. went chomp chomp but there was no parking lot and a few others were there waiting. so went serangoon central instead.

she had her CLAYPOT RICE using a fork....-.-" and she eats it grain by grain becus its steaming hot.. -.-" -.-"

went roam around my previous home. took a look at the basketball court that i used to hang around until 6pm almost every weekend. the fitness corner is still there, the "clock tower" is still there. everything looked the same. sent her back home after that cus she's really tired. she kissed the window when i did a "u-turn" -.-" -.-" -.-"

supposed to wash the car today, but apparently im too lazy to do so. it was raining too.(excuses...) =D went had a haircut, wanted to do the log book, but dun feel like to..

waking up at 6.15am yesterday was the happiest thing for this 4 weeks. cos' im back at HS NPCC! =D

done with my log book. wrote alot of crap, as much as i could. but the idea of having a log book is totally crap. supervisor grade u based on wat u wrote on the log book, not so much on how u've performed.. -.-" this whole itp thing is shit...

looking forward to 2morro and see if my leave for tis coming sat will be approved, so that i can return to the playground at campsite!!

being attached to anyone who needs help. and help them by doing watever the tough work is. not as if i cant do tough work, but how the hell am i supposed to write the log book? "cutting wire and copper bars all day long and learning how to cut perfectly, and cutting them of all the same length"?

its really bullshit. when the in-charge got nth for me to do, he'll ask me to ask the others what i can help them on. and when they got nth for me to do, i'll read the diagrams and then waste my time. =D

2nd day of attachment, i've unboxed abt 400 "presents"? paper cuts all over my fingers. at least there's some hands-on 2day. screw and drill(sounds wrong), arrange and assemble.. pushing the MCBs and RCCBs to the left instead of the right. and end up i hav to unscrew 106 screws, put the 1-2kg box over is and realign, and screw back the 106 screws! but still, i'm cutting A LOT of copper plate for the consumer unit and i think i strained the vein on my wrist?

Its nice watching the chinese and bangahla arguing.. although the dun understand each other, they still can argue.. using body language i suppose.. LOL! its really hilarious watching this commotion.

what is school to you??

classrooms lesson is forever so boring. what we learn is only from the "holy book". sometimes not understanding the concept but only the formula. listening to the lecturer rattling on & on like a machine gun, and not understanding a single word from his/her mouth due to the foreign accent. you'll also be lucky enough to have lecturer that dont know his/her stuff. you'll also be lucky enough to get a lecturer who dun giv a damn about you but only his/her own "ka chng". goin school for the sake of goin is totally a big waste of time..

grades you'll have is also depending of the cohort, everyone strives to be the best, unknowningly giving pressure to everyone. as a result, anyone will do anything in order to win you, ANYTHING.

whereas at the outdoor, everyone will help each other to achieve a goal. everyone work TOGETHER. there's no ME, but WE, a team with a common goal. everyone says we'll learn character building in school, but school is making everyone selfish. there's only ME, ME & ME. in school, there's no one to guide you on how to be a better person, but alot to guide u on the "Holy book". and over time, we think that all the selfish behaviour of ours is alright.

school sucks, it really does, and i realise this only after so long?

another end of year post..

this year wasn't tat great either.. mayb i did not list down the things i wanna achieve at the start. jus doin watever i feel lik anytime.

school was the worst for this year, didnt do good enough. but still managed to carry on..

im doin much of outdoor now. afterall its the most carefree place to be. there's endless things to learn from outdoor as well. tackling different problems wif different styles.

well, at least there are a few things that i've done tis year.
first of all is of cus getting my driving license!! wahaha' outdoor wise, 2 star for kayaking, certified first aider.
got my first ipod, an orange nano chromatic.
got a netbook, MSI Wind, in black.

blah blah blah.....

and im staying home this year to welcome the new year. avoiding the crowds bahx, vivo got ppl, marina got ppl, heartland parties, everywhere oso got ppl.. even the basketball court below my house will be having a countdown party later! -.-

alright for next year;
i must at least get back to 3.2 GPA
i must get my 3 star for kayaking by sept?
sports climbing level 1 & abseiling level 2 by sept as well?

ok, one week after NCO Camp 2008, i decided to blog something abt it.

Instructors have a different point of view.
Officers have a different point of view.
NCOs have a different point of view.
Campers have a different point of view.

Everyone has their own ways of solving things, its all abt the trust we need to give each other. but we are oways not giving each other our trusts. we are asked on small little trivial matter on way we do it "THIS WAY"..

i think the best way is to believe in yourself of what's right or wrong. Appreciate everything given to you. Trusts & authority.

one day, Tan ah kau was walking along the street. And suddenly he fell into a hole unknowingly. He climbed out and & shouted, "stupid hole!"

second day, along the same street, he fell into the same hole. Again, he climbed up, "stupid hole!"

third day, same thing happened, all he did was, climbed up and blamed the stupid hole. -.-"

4) waking michelle up, 45mins jus before her lecture.
5) using walkie talkie on purpose to ask li shan to come over when she was jus 2 metres away from me.

i wont say tat being in npcc tied me down.. its the commitment tat took most of my time & chances..

i really wanted to be as an outdoor trainer/instructor/facilitator/watever... interactive with different ppl & participants. having more friends with the same interest. seeing a group of ppl learning new things at the end of the day..i dunno how to put it, its jus the satisfaction tat after a 3d2n camp for eg, participants are able to discover more abt themselves & stuffs..

but i cant commit, it'll take up more time. i dun have saturdays for anything else except being in HS NPCC.

hs npcc is much more restricted tat we rarely go outdoors. the most is the field. the drive in me is much more lesser than before. everyweek doin the same old thing, this is probably wat the cadets are thinkin too. theres to much constraints..

i think its really time to let go, go out & explore.

my semester break is not fruitful at all!!!

1st week went kayaking & off to malaysia for grandpa's funeral.

2nd week, surgery to extract wisdom teeth and slacked for 4 days.

3rd week, slack & went about. had fun though. badminton wif CIs.

now the 4th week, went kayaking again yesterday, and badminton coming up on sat again.

5th, havin class chalet.. but may miss it. the whole of it.. -.-

6th, HRC 4D3N course at Pulau Ubin, NPCC Camp Resilience

and hoho!! sem 2 starts on the 13th!!

working real hard for the coming NCO Camp 2008. its so great working alone sometimes, u get all the peace and can concentrate better. but when u really need inputs, tats when big groups are preferred. really wanted it to be a successful one, participants learning things as much as we could deliver, no monkey buisnesses.. im jus lookin forward to the camp.. =D

had a surgery yesterday to extract 4 wisdom teeth. so afraid initially, when all the lights are shining right in ur face.. until when given an injection and fell asleep instantly. nurse woke me up, told me evrything over.. felt blur, then sleep again. lol'

woke up the second time, wan cry sia.. pain lik shit.. then the nurse gimme ribena. lol' then gimme pain killer. felt much better. fall back asleep again until my mum came to fetch me.

goin back for and appointment for check up and taking out the stitches.. omg.. imagine pullin out the stitch from ur gum!! lol'

HE is the man of the match, the stupid man.. Attacking of referee, no one will expect such things to happen in taekwondo matches. No discipline, insult of the taekwondo spirit. The coach is worse. Not stopping his player but "participating" in the argument.

Yes, sometimes referee's decision may be to ur advantage. But i always believe referee has the right of way during matches.. Appeals can be made after match. There's no need to get physical with the referee at all.

I watched the match, HE has taken a injury time-out. After his 1min, referee decided to call off the match. And as a tkd competitor myself, we clearly understand tat injury time is strictly to 1 min. Its quite controversial, its injury time, not the KO counts of 10. After the 1 min, referee may be polite enough to ask HIM to get ready?? i dunno the SOP. But thats what i feel & normally being seen in singapore matches.

Humans are just like that. its so hard for you to understand urself. When things are not done the way you want in the first place, u complain, make noise, make a big fuss over it. But when its done eventually, u asked urself, "why does things have to be in this way..."

Some of my friends knew wat happened.... my cousin came over from malaysia to work, and eventually ended up staying at my house, sharing my room with me 4 months ago.. at first, im so not used to being sharing my room with someone. in my previous post i stated why.. now he moved, he rent a room somewhere at AMK with his friend.

yes, i am happy that i got back my freedom of staying up late night comfortably. no more knocking on the wall while trying to squeeze through the door block by his bed. no more hearing of ppl snoring.

but today, seeing him leave the house with his luggage makes me worry. is he able to take good care of himself? having his proper meals, washing his own laundry. havin someone to tok to when needed. i dunno..... but i definitely welcome him back for dinner anytime...

school term started with test week.. how great can tat be? only question will be how bad will i fail? seriously i hav not been studying hard enough for the past 2 months, cus i dont have my room at night!!! if only he is not here.. gotta buck up for term 2, if not i will fail the modules for sure..

the issue is getting worse day by day. im seriously tired being not able to screw my idea into her mind. jus becos she assumes she is right, always countering my point. when i wanted to hear her point of view, she doesnt want to speak. tis is defintely not effective communication. and when i told her, i really need a place to do my revision, she jus wun understand my point too..

imagine a typical day, reach home at abt 1830. wash up, rest, makan dinner, already 2000. start revision at 20 30. and for jus abt 90 mins, she chase me out of my room, jus becus he needs to sleep. and she thinks tat the next morning he need to get to work at 0630 is much more impt tat i need to do my revision!!! dining area is really too hot to do my revision, sit there for 15mins and will start to perspire. tats how warm it is... you can say tat im blaming the whole universe but myself, go ahead.. until u're in my situation...

7 weeks left for term 2. and i'll be packed with lots of things coming up..

shall reopen my blog.. haha' found something to share wif everyone. im gonna talk about NPCC again..

Personally, i feel that cadets are the one who give CIs the motivation to work even harder. take Goshawk squad for example. first day of LMSC, not really great. a lot of jokers and not willing to learn. but when they show the positive attitude towards learning, it gives the CIs so much motivation that we want to teach them as much as possible.

people lik yao hui, he can do it. but he dont want. he can be disciplined, but he dont want. he always wants to be on the easy side. have fun, play play..

yu xuan, can talk a lot(of crap), but when addressing a crowd, she goes haywire, laugh non-stop, dunno what to say..

en zhang, "huh? what? where got? okok.." he can lead, but freak out in front of instructors..

sharon, another joker. "what? what?" very disrespectful. jus want to play oso.. but i think she can lead oso, needs a little bit more confidence. (by not looking on the ground when addressing others)

ghim choon, needs to know his limits. good that he wants to do more, but sometimes wrong things at the wrong time. natural leader..

sean, needs more confidence. go do wat u think u can justify that it is right.

teng, mus have the x-factor and his own style. mus be able to develop the style of a leader. good job..

cally, everything oso scared.. behind the curtain, a big devil.. need more confidence too. mus stand out and try to lead..

lastly, im seriously very pleased with tjia ying. i remembered the time when she wanted to quit and give up. but now, she really did put in a lot a lot of effort in learning and wanting to be a NCO. just that sometimes she is blur? or she really dunno..

Im not sure whether are they ready to be NCOs, but i hope that they would put in more effort during this june and during their NCO-ship. Im perfectly fine with them playing with me after training. But they seriously need to know when to be serious and disciplined. all i see is not even 50% of their potential. something is really wrong, but i jus cant identify it...

i've been missing the good times i had before. gaming/surfing net till late night on fridays and saturdays, COMFORTABLY IN MY OWN ROOM. i cant even hang my own clothes on the back of my door anymore, because its taken unknowingly.

term break is coming, guess i'll be off to my grandma house for a break.. at least being able to enjoy my holidays.

Had my Final Theory Test at 20 00.. went AMK to slack, walk walk ALONE..

Reached SSDC at 19 00. So went canteen to do my math tutorial 1st.. finished section A and then went up. tot i was early, but guess what, outside the room, almost all the seats were taken.. haha' then one lady came to ask me which is the room, i told her its the same room as BTT & the test havent start, and she went off with a simle.. when i went in the room abt 10 mins before 20 00, coincidentally, the same lady was at the station beside me.. haha'

50 MCQ questions... its VERY easy, except for 3 which i 'tikam' (mcq mah...)
there were questions lik, "when u turn too early, ......."
a) u will strike the curb when u turn left
b) u will make a bigger turn when u turn left
c) u will be at the left side of the lane after u turn right

"when changing gear, u should...."
a) look down at the gear shaft

and guess wat, i finished in 10 mins and was the first to go.. and i passed!!! im 1 step nearer to my driving license!!

After morning's session of training(not quite of a training though), went point for lunch then went punggol end with part of the team to have some fun n relax, since some(most) of them dun wan go home so early. Took this time to really hav fun with them after 3 whole months of trainings. Really had so much fun with them. Started throwing people down into the water one by one. First down was sean(if im not wrong). Then fangning, then kenny, blah blah.. And im not spared, its just that i didn't expect it to be my turn that fast. haha!!

Story of a NPCC cadet

There was once a npcc cadet in Hougang Sec. He dreamt to make it big in npcc, wanting to hold the highest rank of a cadet which he thought was Staff Sergeant then.

First npcc training, came 2 Cadet Inspectors, Hafiz Sir and Keng Yee Sir. Learnt the first proper foot-drill, the first song, the first cheer. Had fun for the next few trainings; games after training, lunch after games, together with his squadmates and TO.

And there was once, a "flasher" came to town. Together with his squadmates, seniors, CIs and TOs, they went round near the school to keep a look-out for the flasher. It was a close encounter to catching the flasher with his CI, but due to safety reason, CI told him to give up and wait for others.

In the first camp, he fought with his squadmate and was sent back home. But TOs didn't give up on him or mark him down. After camp, he was given more opportunity to perform. He was the I/C for the squad for the swearing in ceremony. And that was when his story of npcc cadet begins....

He attended every weekly training with much anticipation. Never did he missed the training without valid reason. And when he was in Sec 2, the pioneer batch of HS NPCC cadets passed out. And to his amaze, there is a higher rank then Staff Sergeant for cadets, Station Inspector. And from that day onwards, he told himself, he will be the Station Inspector for his squad at the end of his cadet years.

Everything in NPCC only started to seem interesting when he was sec 3, as a NCO. As having to teach and be taught was what he loved, he was happy to have the opportunity to lead, teach and passing down the knowledge learnt to his juniors.

A Cadet Inspector at then inspired him to be a Cadet Inspector too. He respect the CI very much. Not only the CI can joke and play, but also be serious at the right time. And that was what of a CI he like. The CI also knows a lot of npcc knowledge, be in drills, campcraft, songs and cheers.

During the end of sec 3, he joined the unit's campcraft team hoping to be in the top 10 jus like what his unit acheived 2 years ago. But the fact is, his team got 60th!! hahaha'

On 7th june 2006, he passed out with his squad, Falcons 03/03, as a Station Inspector.

He wanted to join the Cadet Inspector Basic Training Course on December 2006, but due to his ugly results for prelims, he couldn't get in the course. And that was when he gave up hope and thought it was the end for his NPCC life. And this may be the time that he could do somethings else other than what he did for the past 4 years.

His TO gave him suggestion of going for June course and help out in the unit meanwhile.

Eventually, he attended the June 2007 CIBTC. He fell sick and he missed the 1st half on the 1st day's training. And he thought all was fated that he cannot be a CI. But he persevere and went for the 1st day's course at noon time.

And for 5 Saturdays, he woke up at 5.30 am, meet his squadmate, and when HTA for the day's training. And they were dying for 1800 hrs to come every Saturday. After the CIBTC, he learnt much more much more than just a cadet. All the soft skills a CI should have, the knowledege a CI shoulg have...

On 23rd june 2007, he passed out with his squad, Charlie J'07, as a Cadet Inspector.

And being a CI, he had high hopes for his unit, his cadets, his NCOs. And eventually, his unit got GOLD for Unit Proficiency Award 2007.

He now handles 2 teams of 11, having training 3 times a week since January. Having the ultimate goal, being in the top 10 for both teams for the bi-annual campcraft competition. The boys had their prelims on 23rd Feb, and he is confident that they are able to bein the top 10, but he still have reservation for that. Results lies on the judges.

Its is also the NCO transition period, and he have high hopes for the new batch of NCOs. He pushed them to their limit every now and then, without knowing the limits, and only loosen the tension occasionally. Maybe he is still not ready/fit to be a CI...

The feeling for UATC was not tat great as expected. Mayb due to amazing race, which took up about half of 1st day. NCOs wasn't performing tat great on 1st day. Mayb i've pushed them way too much to their limits, expected too much from them. I should have given them much more time, im just too anxious.

There wasnt much discipline in the camp. Campers took their own sweet time, NCOs heading nowhere, alumni taking over as NCOs, CIs scolding all day long.

After whole day of reprimanding the NCOs and pushin them to their limits, I gave up hope, on them and on myself. I've decided to walk off and leave the camp, mayb this way will make them feel less pressurised. Went home at about 1am, chat with wan ying and she sort of enlightened me. I've told her about the NCOs wanting recognition, to perform well and all. And she gave me quite a few solutions. When she asked me if I wanted to go back to the camp, that's when I pondered and said, no. She told me if it is a NO, I wouldnt have wanted to talk about all these. And that's when I realised things can be done a different way.

On the 2nd day of camp, went back at about 8am. No more scolding of NCOs, I told myself. But guiding and leading them. At night, talked to the 3 COs, trying to know how they feel about the camp, the campers, the NCOs and they themselves. Sometimes these little talks with them make everyone learn. And I suppose they did learnt somethings.

There's oso other prob tat made me left the camp. And i've been asking myself, do things have to be this way? If only in the first place, everything were to be told, made clear to everyone, be frank with each other, things wouldnt result this way. And i hate this kind of things to happen. It suck big time. Seriously it does.

out with edward, brain, pauline & jia min.. wanted to go watch Fool's Gold, but in the end, bought tickets for Charlie Wilson's War. Reason being that we dunno wat show was that, and brain's comment to Fool's Gold was, "NOT NICE".

Then went up the cathay to slack. and when the trailer for CWW was shown, we were like, -.-" Wanted to change the tickets for Fool's Gold but was too late. Cus we gotta change 2 hrs, before the show. So in the end, guess wat, we went in, but to the Fool's Gold theatre.. lol!! missed the first 5-10 mins late though.. and i think the show was alright lor..

after that, dinner at the BLISS @ punggol park. then sent jia min home, then pauline, then went home!!

Went sakae for the sashimi buffet. didnt eat much though, cus not feeling that well. but nevertheless, we all did had a great time, gossiping.. lol

Well, i guess, its really time for me to be back training taekwondo. Afterall, wanting to take part in IVP was one of the reasons to miss the NPAP as a trainer. I WANT CCA POINTS!! End of year one, i've got NONE. hahaha!! Wasn't so active in poly.

Sessional exams coming up. Really hope i'll do well. Remember i did post about MST2, worrying that i'll not do well. But it seem I did fine.. 70+ for 2 mods, and 50+ for 1 mod. There's so much to be done right NOW.

1) Campcraft Comp
Participated in the last comp as a participant, now as an Instructor. The feeling is definitely A LOT different. I have much more expectations, For myself and my TEAMS. I know they can do it, i know i can do it. But its just a matter of how. Things are going quite smoothly i would say. Improvements can definitelybe made too. come on TEAMS i believe in you all..

2) Restructuring HS NPCC
Should be a small problem. Changed new OC. Time for CI to do more work. Shall start with all the very basic SOPs, file them up and done! =)

3) Sessional exam
woots. coming to the end of year 1. I mus really put in more effort for this exam. TIME MANAGEMENT!!

sec one cca orientation

Went back HS to help out in the sec one cca orientation. everything was like so messed up. First tripod was finished quite smoothly. Second one, gyn lashing tied so tightly that the spars cannot split out. Forced it, and it goes "piak!". GG~ wasted some time tying again.

New batch of sec 1s coming in. Dunno what to expect. well, lets wait and see...

Cousin wedding

Went malaysia for my cousins' wedding for the past 4 days. Had so much fun & laughter. Met up with my childhood playmates(cousins). Realised a few stuffs. such a wonderful trip i would say.

Set off as 4am, meet up my aunt's family as the custom, and we carried on with this long journey up to somewhere near ipoh. Saw saw looked looked at the scenery in the car for about 8 hours? And my dad was like, speeding all the way? haha' 120-140km/hr avg.

Alright shall not waste time talking about the journey. When i reach the small little town, its still that familiar little town i went every year when i were young. Standard of living there is very low. People do still live in those 'slum-liked' houses. Pay at working at a mart was jus RM2/hour. It then came to my mind, i've really enjoyed too much of luxury. But, we cant really compare much, cus standard of living is really low there.

Well. it finally came to the last day of year 2007. I just have so much to say.

Alright, to round up this year. basically, it seems that i really dunno what I'm doing for this year. year 2007 passed so fast. Maybe it due to that I started sch only in April..

Well 1st quarter, had chalet for new year, celebrated my 17th birthday with my classmates(my best friends of all), think of birthdays, I've yet settle the place to hold a BBQ party for my 18th birthday which in in 4 days time!! GG. Nvm about that first. Yes 1st quarter of 2007, well, chosen to serve HS NPCC, so did went back during the weekly trainings. Followed up by O's results. LOL.

2nd quarter, went Korea finally. Started schooling in SP, made new friends. Funny gang indeed. Went for J07 CI course. So, formally went back HS NPCC as a CI/instructor.

3rd quarter, Gold for Nationals.

4th quarter, HS combined UG Camp. This camp really made me learn quite a few things. Brings me closer to people i know but nv ever got a chance to talk to hat much, like, WAN LING.

So as u see, I've nv accomplish much things in 2007.

and the great and stupid(i dunno the word!!) thing is that, he is in SP too!!!!! omg. shall meet up with him one day!!

haha' training on wed, never rain. thur no training, rain. Today training, no rain, rain only after training. so lucky..

vincci loo! u jus simply made my day. last minute decision almost got alvin n gang "killed" by me. haha' and finally after a loooong time, we can hav lunch together. haha'

Well, training these 2 days can say is quite great. but some topics still not covered. But once the team lists are out, everything should be smooth sailing when we appoint them to different component. the sun is so hot today!! lucky wear long sleeves.

After training, stayed back to watch the bb friendly match between HS and ngee ann sec. and all rounded up with a casualty. he so lucky we were there.. he got slight deep cut on the head by the back of the ear. and blood jus gushed out. asked alvin to get my first-aid pouch and tried to stop the bleeding.

Was very tensed up initially, cus it has been long since i last attend to someone bleeding so much.. lol "squeezed" 2 small bottle of sterile to clean up the wound and used lots of gauze to try stop the bleeding. Thanksfully, the bleeding did stop.

shall chiong all my assignments for the next few days before i go enjoy myself. wahaha'

Started raining 'non-stop' since thursday? on & off it was.. Dont really feel so no mood during rainy season this time round.. Well, maybe due to the fact that i've stop quite a lot of outdoor activities of mine.. Jus hope that rain shall stop for next week's Campcraft training.

Been planning for the campcraft training this few days, trying to come up with the 'perfect' plan. Really hope to maintain the standard HS NPCC had for the past 2 comp. Nth much to say abt this. Much more to come after the 1st training. And whether or not, CIs are so called on our own now.. Made a few decisions myself, didn't realy want to bother Mr Tan tat much, i believe he has more than enough work on his hands. So, i jus make sure i hav an explanation for every of the decisions i make..

Had peee make-up tutorial this afternoon. Half way, sis called, nv picked up, sms her asking wat she wants, and she nv repll. After tat, dad called, went out of class to pick up. He asked whether wat time my lesson will end, and if i wanted a ride home. And i told him to go home 1st as tutorial ends only 45mins later. Then, mum called, asking if i wanted a ride home too.. lol' jus realised how 'xin fu' i am!! =)

Dec break for 2 weeks, starting next week.. anticipated much things to happen. Campcraft training, math PBL, IDEAS assignment, PEEE PBIL, CRS, GEMS... woots.. much much more meetings..

OC declared steppin down

Went for npcc chalet, had lots of fun. really lots.. Great meetin up with some falcons too!! shermaine esp. havent seen her for quite long. then soklyn, then emelyn, then yiren. the others, (he qin, deanne, cheryl, geogina) aiya, meet until dun wan meet liao lah.. haha! 'Heart attack-ed" from 2am till 4plus am with the "Eagles". And jaslyn have a prob of not peeping at my cards and figuring out direction of c/w and anti-c/w.. -.-" had so much fun esp when hwa leong and me make a lot a lot of stupid jokes and 'suan-ing' jaslyn

Well, main purpose for the chalet is to bid farewell to Mr Chan who will be goin over to anderson sec.(at least still in A6).

but the most shocking news came during the instructors' meeting. Mr Tan declared that he is stepping down as the OC of HS NPCC. the moment i heard that, my mind was blank, seriously. And i looked at him as with my lower jaw almost touching the ground.

Cheryl and I actually said before that, if Mr Tan were to step down, we would actually wanted to transfer over to anderson npcc(to find Mr Chan.) But, after much thought last night, it seems hat its quite irresponsible to do so.. My ferruginous II are still there. and after all HS NPCC is where i grew and where i learned a lot a lot of things.

Anyway, my main concern now will be the campcraft team. so much more to do. i really wanted to still have the "standard" HS NPCC had ever since the 1st comp we participated. But Mr Tan told me not to stress myself as time is the constraint now.

So much so much things are running in my mind now......... And there's so much things waiting for us instructors to do. well, hope everything goes fine..

sleep until overshot the station when i went home today.. guess still havent recover from the fatigue from the UG camp. lol

well, slept from dhoby ghaut station till seng kang and was relief that i woke up in time. but the problem is, when i alight, i felt something was wrong, as im not infront of the escalator i usually took. then when i looked up the door, it reads, -----> harbour front.

then i know, i actually slept till punggol and back to seng kang.. -.-"

HS combined UG camp

1st Hougang Sec, Combined Uniformed Group camp.
(23rd-25th NOV 2007)

Finally, the anticipated HS UG camp. Things wasnt that great as expected in the beginning, but, things went well after that. Was really happy that this camp was quite a success. Big thanks to all Teachers, Instructors, NCOs and Campers for making it possible.

So much so much things happened during this 3D2N camp. The random stun, "screen-touching", instructors' art lesson and all.

For the first day, i've been the devil of the camp; during the camp opening, Day fire drill, Night fire drill. Was trying to set the right tone for the camp, cos everything doesnt went right from the start. But ultimately after the first thing, campers' movement got faster, and at least not that bad compared to the first day. Quite happy with that, dont mind being the devil afterall.

Shall talk abt Aliff Arman. stupid stuns he did, but entertaining. First, he was trying to camo in the plants near the fence, but he ended up kena bite by ants. Next, he put on poncho and took dummy rifle trying to act like terrorist and doing commando crawl. Next he took all the red sash and hang it like Chinese New Year deco. And finally when Ngee Song, Ban Heng & and me had enough, we chose to 'tau pok' him. But Ngee Song ended up having cramps in the hamstring.

No words could actually explain how we feel abt the camp, the bonding; not only campers but also to Instructors level.

Went kota tinggi to attend my cousin's wedding. Woke up at 4am, then went fetch my uncle. Early in the morning, there's already jams at the customs. When finally its our turn, the officer actual came out of the counter & came to the other side of the car to double check our identity. And when the officer asked my uncle, " this is you right?" (while pointin the picture in the passport) Guess what my uncle replied, "of cos lah, handsome right?" lol sia.

Then after about 1 hour of car journey, we reached my aunt's house. First thing we went is to find my cousin, the bride. So pretty lah.

Well, tests coming up for the next 3 days before the COMBINED UG CAMP!! woohoo' im getting so excited for the camp.
